He holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice along with two associate degrees, blending academic knowledge with practical investigative expertise.

As PHENIX's lead trainer, Joel plays an important role in guiding new investigators through onboarding and investigative protocols. He frequently supports complex cases involving financial scrutiny, judgment recovery, and asset tracing. His leadership and mentorship are valued throughout the organization.

Before his investigative career, Joel worked as an assistant golf professional and instructor, roles that sharpened his patience, precision, and ability to connect with people. These skills now shape his approach to each case, ensuring careful attention to detail and thoughtful execution.
